One thing we have learned since starting JacLin Farms is that we need all the help we can get. We have shared the links to the professional organizations we subscribe to as well as any friendly farmers who have helped us over the years.
Below are a few professional organizations we belong to.
The Myotonic Goat Registry website has a detailed history and explanation of the breed as well as links to the pedigrees of the animals you might purchase from us.
The ANCCSA website has a detailed history and explanation of the breed as well as a membership directory to help you find other breeders in your area.

This club welcomes all aspects of the sheep and goat breeds. Members boast expertise in meat, milk, fiber, and other sheep and goat derived products. The club also offers multiple educational opportunities for members throughout the year so that we can be as informed as we can as owners about our breeds. This club is a great resource for buying and selling animals, buying and selling products, and connecting with farmers from across our region.
Below we have listed some of our neighbors/friends that have been helpful over the years. We have purchased animals, shared tips/tricks, and worked hand in hand with these farmers.
Rick and Jackie, owners of Kenbar Farms, have a herd of Registered North Country Cheviot Sheep, a herd of commercial sheep (Sufflok/NCC cross), and cattle. They have partnered with JacLin Farms from its inception and often share pasture for rams during the non-breeding season with us.
Jessany and Matt were the owners of our first registered fainting goats. We have made multiple purchases from this farm over the years and consider them a reputable place to purchase good quality goats.
Our membership to the New River Valley Sheep and Goat Club put us in direct contact with this amazing MGR Breeder! We have several goats that have lineage that runs back to Syncope Falls Farm and have made purchases directly from the owner. This farm has a long history of raising fainting goats and has some of the best stock around.
